Career Guidance Meeting with Students and Teachers of Nadvirna City Lyceums

On February 19, 2026, representatives of the Faculty of Physics and Technology at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University conducted an off-site career guidance meeting with 10th–11th grade students of Lyceum No. 1 and the “Prestige” Lyceum of the Nadvirna Territorial Community.

The main purpose of the visit was to familiarize young people with promising technical fields that are critically important for modern engineering and the IT sector in Ukraine.

The event was attended by faculty and department representatives: Assoc. Prof. Volodymyr Hryha, Deputy Dean for Career Guidance at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, and Assoc. Prof. Mykhailo Kotyk, PhD in Technical Sciences, Associate Professor of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics.

Key educational trajectories for prospective students included: Computer Engineering, covering the design of computer systems, networks, and embedded solutions, combining software development with a deep understanding of computing architecture; and Electronics, which encompasses the development of modern circuitry, robotic systems, and automation systems.

Assoc. Prof. Mykhailo Kotyk provided a detailed explanation of hardware and software integration, emphasizing that a modern engineer is a specialist who is proficient both in programming languages and in designing complex physical devices.

The organizers expressed special gratitude to the lyceum administrations for their support in organizing the event, and to the students for their active participation, insightful questions, and demonstrated interest in technical education.
