The Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics took part in the “IRON CHANGE” event.

On January 23, 2026, as part of the nationwide socio-educational project “Iron Shift,” the Carpathian National University named after Vasyl Stefanyk once again warmly welcomed over 60 talented school students from various regions of Ukraine. The students visited the university to explore its educational programs, modern material and technical resources, and opportunities for professional development.

A special focus within the program of the Faculty of Physics and Technology was presented by the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics (CEE), which trains specialists in “Computer Engineering” and “Electronics.” The practical session was organized and conducted by the department’s faculty members and postgraduate students: Volodymyr Hryha, Halyna Voitkiv, Vitalii Fedenko, and Alina Holiney.

During the practical session, students worked with educational setups and experimental equipment, exploring the fundamentals of electromagnetic phenomena and the principles of electronic and electromechanical systems. Participants interacted with inductance coils, mechanical transmission components, measuring instruments, and educational models. Working in teams, they completed tasks, recorded their observations, analyzed data, and formulated conclusions regarding the operation of technical devices.

This hands-on format effectively demonstrated the practical aspect of training future CEE engineers, emphasizing the integration of physical processes, circuit solutions, and modern engineering approaches.

At the end of the session, participants had the opportunity to communicate directly with department faculty, learn about the specifics of the study programs, explore opportunities to join scientific clubs and laboratory research, and discover ways to implement their own technical projects within the fields of “Computer Engineering” and “Electronics.”
