On February 26, the Regional Competition in Radio Electronics Design for School Youth was held at the Faculty of Physics and Technology of Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. The event was organized by the Ivano-Frankivsk Regional State Center for Scientific and Technical Creativity of Student Youth in cooperation with the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics.
A total of 25 participants took part in the competition, including students from general secondary education institutions and professional colleges. The participants demonstrated solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of radio electronics.
The competition program consisted of two stages: a theoretical test and a practical task. During the practical stage, participants were required to assemble and adjust a radio-electronic device according to a given circuit diagram. The junior age group (10–15 years old) worked with transistor-based devices, while the senior group (15–18 years old and college students) completed tasks involving integrated circuits. The evaluation criteria included technical accuracy, speed of task completion, and the stability of the assembled device’s operation.
Based on the results of the competition, the winners were determined.
Junior Group (10–15 years):
1st place — Ostap Pohorilyi (Center for Out-of-School Education of Kolomyia City Council, supervisor — Mykhailo Romaniuk)
2nd place — Mykola Bidashchuk (Sadzhaivskyi Lyceum, supervisor — Mykhailo Romaniuk)
3rd place — Oleksandr Yahnych (Nadvirna Lyceum “Prestige”, supervisor — Volodymyr Uhorchuk)
Senior Group (15–18 years):
1st place — Stanislav Turii (Professional College of Electronic Devices, IFNTUOG, supervisor — Ihor Proniuk)
2nd place — Zakhar Vyshenko (Center for Out-of-School Education of Kolomyia City Council, supervisor — Mykhailo Romaniuk)
3rd place — Vladyslav Kobrynskyi (Kalush Polytechnic Professional College, supervisor — Roland Kosovan)
The winners were awarded certificates of merit, participants received diplomas, and mentors were presented with letters of appreciation for their dedicated work in preparing the students.
Events of this kind play an important role in promoting engineering and technical specialties and in developing practical skills in electronics. The competition once again demonstrated that radio electronics design serves as an effective platform for fostering future engineers and strengthening the technical potential of young people in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.
