Career Guidance Meeting with Graduates of Ivano-Frankivsk Lyceum No. 2

On March 19, 2026, the Head of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, Professor Ruslan Zapukhliak, and the Academic Program Guarantor for the Bachelor’s Degree Program in Computer Engineering, Associate Professor Volodymyr Hryha, held a career guidance meeting with 11th-grade students of Lyceum No. 2 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, the students were shown a video presentation by Vitalii Martyniuk, a graduate of the Department of Computer Engineering and Electronics, highlighting the advantages of studying in the department’s specialties, the knowledge and practical skills acquired, as well as the opportunities for dynamic professional growth available to students and graduates in the fields of information technology and electronics.

Addressing the graduating students, Professor Ruslan Zapukhliak introduced the specialties offered by the department across all levels of higher education. He elaborated on the key benefits of studying and obtaining engineering qualifications in specialties F7 “Computer Engineering” and G5 “Electronics, Electronic Communications, Instrumentation Engineering, and Radio Engineering,” emphasizing their relevance in the labor market of the Ivano-Frankivsk region and Ukraine as a whole. He also spoke about unique scholarship programs available at Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University.

The Academic Program Guarantor, Volodymyr Hryha, delivered a presentation on the structure of the University and its rankings. He outlined the list of specialties and academic programs offered at the Faculty of Physics and Technology, provided detailed information about the “Computer Engineering” program, and illustrated its close integration with the “Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits” program. Particular attention was given to the department’s strong collaboration with employers, including IT companies and enterprises based in Ivano-Frankivsk and Lviv. Additionally, the 11th-grade students learned about opportunities for internships, practical training, and future employment with leading IT companies in the Ivano-Frankivsk region.

It is worth noting that Lyceum No. 2 of the Ivano-Frankivsk City Council is one of six institutions in the Ivano-Frankivsk region and among 150 schools across Ukraine that will be among the first to implement the upper secondary school reform starting this September. Students will be able to choose a specialized academic track from those offered by the lyceum and study within it for three years (grades 10–12).
