$1,000 for KNUVS students: competition launched by the Institute of Oriental Studies Foundation

As part of the implementation of the Cooperation Agreement between the university and the Foundation of the Institute of Oriental Studies (Republic of Poland), a competition is announced among students for 15 scholarships of 1,000 US dollars each.

The competition, like last year, involves the selection of scholarship recipients among full-time Bachelor’s degree students.

Students in 1st–3rd years are invited to participate.

The deadline for submitting documents is May 15, 2026.

In addition to high academic performance and proficiency in a foreign language, important selection criteria include active participation in the scientific activities of the university, faculty/institute, as well as volunteer activities.

The package of documents for participation in the competition includes:

1. Certificate of average grade point average (not lower than 85 points) based on the results of the last session for full-time students, as well as, if available, documents confirming achievements in scientific, volunteer and other activities (certificates, diplomas, etc.);

2. Certificate (official or university) confirming the level of English proficiency not lower than B2 (knowledge of Polish will be an additional advantage);

3. A motivation letter in Ukrainian and English or Polish, indicating contact details (phone number, e-mail) and substantiating the reasons for selecting the candidate as the winner of the competition.

Important! After the completion of the application process, a face-to-face meeting with candidates will be held, during which each participant must prepare a short self-presentation (up to 2 minutes). The date and time of the meeting will be announced later.

Based on the results of the competition, a specially created commission will select 15 students who will receive a one-time scholarship of $1,000.
